Mutts Rock At The Rocks: A Walk for Everyone!
Above the Notch Humane Society holds an annual fundraiser, Mutts Rock at the Rocks, at The Rocks Estate in Bethlehem. This is a fun event at a beautiful location, and all the money raised goes towards caring for our dogs.
2nd Annual Mutts Rock at the Rocks was held September 18th, 2011 at the beautiful Rocks Estate in Bethlehem. Thank you to everyone who came out and supported us, and to all the sponsors for the event. We would like to say a very special thank you to the Rocks Estate for hosting the event and to NH State Troop Vic Muzzey and his partner Kemo for the K9 demonstration.
The day began with registration at 10 am and then everyone gathered at 11 am to begin the walk. ATNHS board members led a group around the Christmas Tree loop, which has beautiful views of the Presidential Range. A second group did the longer Maple Museum trail. The leaves were just beginning to turn and the sun was shining. It was fun to see all the dogs interact and make new friends. After the walk we all gathered for a BBQ lunch and awards.
After lunch, New Hampshire State Police Trooper Vic Muzzey and his K-9 partner Kemo put on an exciting show, demonstrating obedience, tracking, and attack. It was an impressive and informative demonstration. We are grateful to everyone who joined us for this event, and all of our sponsors and volunteers who helped make this event possible.
Check out these great photos of the event! Thank you very much to photographer Steve DeNeef for donating his services.
